01

Who we are and what this covers

Global Wisdom Alliance (“GWA”, “we”, “us” or “our”), based in Kochi, Kerala, India, operates this website and GWhats. GWhats is our WhatsApp API app, designed to help businesses connect to the WhatsApp Business Platform and manage business messaging through authorised API access.

This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit our website, contact us, use GWhats or communicate with a business that uses GWhats. GWhats is a GWA application; it is not WhatsApp or Meta itself. WhatsApp and Meta operate their own services under their own terms and privacy policies.

For our own website enquiries, account administration and support, GWA determines why and how information is used. When a business uses GWhats to handle its customer conversations, that business generally determines the purpose of processing and we process that messaging data on its behalf, subject to its instructions and our service agreement.

02

Information we process

The information involved depends on how you interact with us and which features or integrations you enable.

  • Website enquiries: your name, company, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, selected services and the project information you submit.
  • GWhats account and business information: account contact details, business profile details, authorised users, WhatsApp Business Account identifiers, connected phone number identifiers and configuration information.
  • Messaging information: customer names or profile names, phone numbers or WhatsApp identifiers, contact lists supplied by the business, message content, attachments, templates, timestamps, delivery and read statuses, and webhook events, where these are made available through the connected service.
  • Integration and authorisation information: the permissions you grant, API authorisation credentials or tokens needed for enabled connections, and related connection records. Do not send passwords, access tokens or other credentials through our public enquiry form.
  • Technical and support information: IP addresses, browser and device details, request or error logs, usage information and information you share while seeking support.

We receive information directly from you, from a business using GWhats, and from WhatsApp, Meta or other services that you authorise to connect. Connecting GWhats does not give us unrestricted access to your personal WhatsApp account or unrelated conversations.

03

How we use information

  • Respond to enquiries, arrange calls, provide proposals and deliver requested services.
  • Create and administer GWhats accounts and maintain authorised business connections.
  • Send, receive, route and manage business messages and provide the messaging features a business enables.
  • Show message status and operational information, troubleshoot problems and provide support.
  • Protect accounts and services, investigate misuse and meet applicable legal obligations.
  • Communicate about service administration, security and changes affecting your account.

Where applicable law requires a basis for processing, we rely on the basis relevant to the activity, such as your consent, steps to provide a requested service, contractual obligations, legitimate business interests where permitted, or legal requirements. Enquiring about a project or using GWhats does not by itself constitute consent to unrelated marketing.

04

GWhats and WhatsApp messaging

Businesses using GWhats are responsible for having the necessary rights, notices and permissions to use their customer data and send messages. They must follow applicable law and the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy, including requirements relating to recipient permissions and opt-out requests.

Messages and related data pass through WhatsApp or Meta systems and, where needed to provide the enabled service, GWhats and authorised service providers. A business’s authorised staff may access conversations through the tools it uses. Do not assume that a message sent to a business is accessible only to its recipient’s personal device.

If you receive messages from a business using GWhats, contact that business to change your messaging preferences or request access to or deletion of your conversation data. You can ask the sender to stop messaging you and use WhatsApp’s blocking or reporting controls. You may also contact us if you need help identifying the relevant business or believe GWhats is being misused.

Optional integrations receive only the information needed for the functions you enable. If a business connects an external automation or AI service, the information it sends to that service is also subject to that provider’s policies and the business’s configuration and instructions.

05

When information is shared

Information may be shared with WhatsApp and Meta to operate the messaging connection; with the relevant business and its authorised users; and with hosting, infrastructure, communication or support providers where needed to deliver the service. Other connected tools may receive information when you or the business authorise that integration.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to respond to valid legal requests, to investigate abuse or protect rights and security, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal requirements. Customer messaging data is handled for the service purposes described here, rather than for unrelated advertising.

Providers may process information in India or other countries. Applicable contractual or legal safeguards govern cross-border processing where required. Meta and WhatsApp also handle information for their own purposes as described in their policies.

06

Retention and security

We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, taking into account the active service, the business’s instructions, support needs, legal obligations and legitimate dispute or security requirements. Retention can differ for enquiries, account information, message records, attachments and technical logs.

When information is no longer needed, it should be deleted or anonymised in accordance with the relevant service arrangements and applicable requirements. Some records may remain for required legal retention or until backup cycles expire. Deleting information from GWhats does not automatically delete copies held by a business, message recipients, Meta, WhatsApp or another independent provider.

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information and the service. Access should be limited to authorised people and systems that need it. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive personal information through enquiry forms or business messages.

07

Your choices and privacy requests

Depending on applicable law and your relationship with us, you may request access to, correction of, a copy of, or deletion of your information; object to or restrict certain processing; or withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Withdrawal does not undo processing that was lawful before it. You may also raise a concern with the relevant data protection authority where applicable.

You can stop using GWhats and request disconnection of the relevant business integration. If the connection was authorised through Meta, you can also review and revoke the app’s permissions in the relevant Meta business or account settings. Revoking permissions stops future access allowed by those permissions; it does not automatically remove previously retained information.

For customer conversations handled on behalf of a business, please send your request to that business first. We assist with requests within our role and the business’s instructions. We may need to verify your identity or authority before acting, and legal retention requirements may limit deletion.
